Imagine you have a super awesome scene with lots of objects and materials. Everything renders out just fine and you have a beautiful output. NOW let’s say you need to remove or disable all materials and render your scene without any texturing. What do you do? Well, there are a few ways how to do this, but all of them are not that great and simple as using my script Material Override.
Run the script once – and all your texture tags will be overridden by a newly created (or a copy, if you have any material selected in Material Manager) material – as a result you have a clean scene that shares only one texture or material.
Now run script for the second time, and you will be back to your original setup – everything is nice as it was before you used script. It’s so versatile that you don’t even need to backup your scene.
Sweeeeeeet…
